Most people have an idea about meeting the girl of their dreams. They imagine she'll just show up somehow, they'll hit it off, and they'll live happily ever after. Well, maybe if you live in movie.
But consider the cold, hard truth. If she's cute, and perfect for you, then she's cute and perfect for a lot of guys. Which means you've got some competition. So if you aren't skilled in communicating and making her feel those special feelings that will make her want to spend time with you instead of every other schmuck out there, you've got to work on your skills.
While it may feel nice to think of some ideal girl seeing and falling in love with the "real you," it's not likely unless you can adequately show her the "real you." If you're just sitting there drinking in the corner, she won't even notice you.
You've got to go over, talk to her, and make her feel those emotions. Unless you can do that, she's going to end up with somebody else. Nobody ever said life was fair.
The good news is that with just a little bit of practice, talking to anybody and everybody can be second nature to you. Since most guys and girls still cling to the idea that love will fall out of the sky, you know better. You know that by practicing your dating skills on a regular basis, you'll get better and better.
